CATCH UP, AGAIN!!!

Sorry, I have been so inconsistent with the whole blog thing. Things have been crazy! Tim and I got to go to a college conference in Dallas last weekend! It was a blast! Then, Wednesday night Brooke had a low fever when we got home. So, we were off to the doctor Thursday morning and got good news that she didn't have the flu. He gave us some antibiotics and sent us home, but that night, she got a really high fever. We went back to the doctor Friday morning and did another flu test that came back negative again. But, she did have a mild ear infection so he gave her a shot of antibiotics. I was really hoping that her fever would go away, but she had a 101 temperature again this morning. That is our week so far, but I do have some fun pictures to share.

Brooke is finally getting a little more hair so I tried to put a bow in it a few days ago. She was ticked at first, but she actually wore it all day. It looked hilarious because the bow is so small on her big head.

If you have been around my kids some, you may know that for some reason the word "yes" is not in their vocabulary. They just kinda laugh in place of the word. Well, Brooke now just says "kay." It is really funny to me because she says it in a really low voice and seems so serious.

Kaylee has been so sweet to Brooke. When Brooke had a really high fever, she fell asleep on the couch. Kaylee started rubbing her back and singing "Jesus loves me". She said "Yes, Jesus loves Brookey...". It was so sweet!!! I wish I would have gotten it on video.

CATCH UP!!!

There are several fun days that I need to post so this might be a long one.

Yesterday, Kaylee helped me cook supper for the first time. She was really excited about sprinkling cheese on the "tortiddas" while we were making enchiladas. I caught her eating the cheese while I was finishing up. If she keeps this up, maybe she can do all the laundry and cooking when Baby 3 arrives.

And, Brooke, well, she assumed her usual position: eating!!!

Last Saturday, Papaw Mickey and Nana came to Abilene to take Tim out to eat for his birthday and see the girls. They brought the girls' cousins Dane and Cade also. We went to eat and came back to the house to let the kids play. It was a fun day!!!

Kaylee got to go to her friend Hailey's birthday party at Chucky Cheese. It was quite an experience. She seemed to enjoy it and have fun, but she just kinda did her own thing. She played games, danced with Chucky, but she wouldn't eat pizza or even cake when it was that time. She was playing with stickers at the table. Ofcourse, when we were ready to leave, she decided it was time to eat and she took her sweet time. Crazy kid!

MY BIG HELPER

Kaylee decided to help me fold laundry today!!!!! Yeah!!! It was so cute! She basically rolled everything up and then carefully put it next to all my already folded piles!! I was so proud! (Yes, that is Brooke unfolding everything in the background.)

We also tried a new activity today: homemade face paint. It didn't exactly turn out like the face paint I have seen before, but it was still fun for the girls (and edible). It is hard to see in the pics because it turned out to be a really light pink.

NEW COATS & FIRST POO POO'S

I hope the following story isn't TMI....sorry, but I thought it was funny!

I am sure that Brooke will be really proud of this some day!!! Her first poo poo on the big girl potty. I thought I'd share because she looks so little on the big ol' potty. It was pretty funny. She told me she needed to go tee tee, but I didn't listen at first because I just thought she was rambling. Then I heard her wiggling the restroom door so I jumped up and put her on the potty and waited for her to tinkle.....Next thing I know, "plop, plop"! I couldn't believe it!! She has done it 2 or 3 times now, but only tinkled once. I think it would be awesome if she was out of diapers by the time Baby 3 gets here, but I'm not counting on it.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???

I was walking through the kitchen and I noticed the phone had changed colors. This is just one of the many "out of place objects" that I have been finding throughout the house. I guess that happens when your house is run by a 1 and 2-year-old. (I just wonder how long it was there before I noticed it.)

Kaylee has added an instrument to her singing: the piano!!!!

Today she found a bench, pulled it up to the piano, and well....here is the result: (Just in case you don't understand her "English", she is singing "Jesus Loves the Little Children.")

BABY #3's FIRST PICTURES

For those of you who are familiar with ultrasound pics you might be able to make out these pics, but for some of you they may seem like a bunch of black and white smudges-sorry. You would think that after having two babies that ultrasounds wouldn't be any big deal, but WOW, it is still amazing to watch the monitor and see this little life jumping around, it's heart beating, its fingers curling and uncurling, its mouth and eyes moving, and its legs kicking away. So cool...I could watch it all day!!! Anyway, here is Baby #3......
